Trainer Skills Certificate: FETAC LEVEL 6 Component
This IITD training programme is designed to facilitate employers and employees to access the potential for training skills within their organisation. It is a flexible cost effective way of utilising potential within the organisation and providing an accredited training qualifications. The unique benefits this programme provides are:

Programme Objectives:
At the end of this programme the participants will be able to:
- Identify a range of adult learning theories and approaches.
- Apply adult learning principles in training.
- Explain critical elements of a trainer’s role and work effectively with groups and individuals.
- Explain the training needs analysis process, analyse job level needs and set appropriate training objectives.
- Plan and organise the delivery of training programmes using the FAS QA/5801 design model.
- Deliver training effectively in one to one and group situations and select appropriate techniques for assessing trainee progress.
- Identify different levels of evaluation and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes.
- The course is experiential and collaborative and involves the interaction of the participants that in turn, creates valuable learning in the process.
Flexibility:
The course has a flexible location and delivery structure, which offers a cost effective and time efficient provision. Within the objectives set for the programme there is scope for some customisation in line with organisational requirements.

Assessment process:
Participants will be assessed on the basis of their competence in preparing and delivering a short training session at the end of the programme (day 4). A written assignment is also undertaken to achieve the FETAC award. This assignment will be based on the modules covered by the objectives of the programme.

Tutors delivering this programme are IITD approved and are members of the Irish Institute of Training and Development.
